A Luv Story – Ride for Life

First we were Co-workers, then we became friends, now …

she’s my Love,

my Right-hand Gal, my Side Piece, my Ride for Life, my Partner.

We’ve accomplished so many goals that were talked about which I thought was just talk,

but the actions she put into place made my love grow stronger.

I realized she was the person I wanted to spend my lifetime with.

I made a bad decision not caring about her feelings,

she told me she didn’t want our relationship anymore,

the communication stopped and I had hurt in my heart

like never before.

I knew then,

I wanted her in my life Always. From that point forward,

every day I show her how grateful I am that she’s in my life.

So,

with this Ring and Commitment Ceremony I’m saying

I love you til life ends.

Lord… Send me someone who feels the way I do,

who loves the gift of life and wants to share it with me too.

Who’s looking for the same, that understands that life is short

and doesn’t want to play silly games, someone that will

motivate and strengthen me in every way.

Make me smile, make me laugh and cherish me every day.

Someone that loves me as much as I do, who understands that

all things are possible

as long as they believe in you,

someone that is willing to share their love, blessings

and hardships too,

someone that knows that whatever they go through

I’m going through it to, send me someone that

walks by Faith not by sight,

that knows there will be some rough days

but will stand with me in the fight,

Lord…

send me someone whom I can Love…

A Luv Story Blessing – Ride for Life

Every soul created strives to become more complete and whole…

For even though we are all born perfect…

We don’t always see the Divinity within us…

That’s where the Love of a Soulmate helps us

to reflect the glowing Divinity back to our True Love

When we connect with our True Self

from the Ground of our Being…

Opening up to the Grace of the Universe…

We open ourselves up to recognize our True Love, our Soulmate

But often

it’s hard to recognize the Grace that comes into our life…

The ‘ol saying “If you love something… Set it free.

If it comes back to you it was meant to beâ€

We often don’t see the forest for the trees or

the True Love of a Soulmate

Until we let it go… and you let her go…

Only to be reunited without a shadow of a doubt.

We connect with our Soulmate and thus

we connect to the Grace of Divinity…

And In that Space of Loving Kindness,

we Truly feel that all things are possible.

Faith brings the True Love of Soulmates together…

And by that Grace, Faith transcends into a Knowing…

Thus connected,

we can stride through our days with this confidence of Knowing

that no matter what we will face along our Path…

Everything will

Always be Already Alright!

You have chosen to commit yourselves to each other

‘till this life ends…

And as you stride along your Path abiding in the Grace of it all,

Your Faith will indeed Transcend to a Knowing

that even the end of this life…

Is really just the beginning of our Heavenly Journeys.

The Start of 2020

Our business was doing great, but we still couldn’t afford to buy a house or a condo. Renting in Maui for another 30 years was not an option we wanted to take. Then, Bobbie Jo suggested we buy a sailboat that is comfortable to cruise and live in. By the end of January, we started looking for our new home.

After a long search, we found our dream boat in Mazatlan, Mexico. COVID-19 was not yet a concern when our boat hunt began, but masks were starting to appear at airports by the time we flew to Mazatlan. Originally, we had planned to get the boat ready as fast as possible to cover a full calendar for the busy wedding season. However, it was apparent our business was going to tank amid the pandemic, and the struggle went on until the end of the year.

Luckily, we scored an awesome condo for only $19 a day at Mazatlan. On the 10th day of our stay, we received the news that all harbors will be closed the next Monday morning. We thought we’d be stuck in Mexico longer, but another sailor advised us to leave before sunrise.

We felt the adrenalin of escaping the Mexican harbor master just before the sun rose that faithful day. The seas were rough as waves were building up in the tight channel that led us to the open ocean. We ended up anchored off an adorable little isle just a mile offshore. We enjoyed cruising to many spectacular anchorages and cute villages on our way to Puerto Vallarta, where we would depart for Maui on May 7. On May 30, 2020, we completed our 24-day passage from Mexico to Maui.
