You may like to take a moment to read these lines very slowly,
with a pause to follow your breathing and
relax between each remembrance.
I am of the nature to grow old.
There is no way to escape growing old.
I am of the nature to have ill health.
There is no way to escape ill health.
I am of the nature to die.

There is no way to escape death.
All that is dear to me and everyone I love
are of the nature to change.
There is no way to escape being separated from them.
My actions are my only true belongings.
I cannot escape the consequences of my actions.
They are the ground upon which I stand.
~
To see the ultimate dimension of reality,
we have to look deeply into the historical dimension,
the dimension in which we’re living.
The Five Remembrances help us understand
the “relative truth” of death:
our body does experience ageing, ill health, and death.
But
we also have our cosmic body,
and it’s very important to remember that.
And
the more we look with the insight of signlessness,
the more we see that “transformation”
is a much better word than “death.”
As we contemplate impermanence and no self
with the fourth remembrance,
we start to touch the deeper level of reality,
the “ultimate truth” beyond signs.
Although death may seem to separate us from those we love,
looking deeply
we can see that they always continue to be with us in new forms.
With the fifth,
we remember that our actions continue us into the future,
and doing so
we touch our true nature of no birth and no death,
no coming and no going,
no sameness and no difference.
~
Reciting the Five Remembrances regularly
helps us apply the insights of
emptiness, signlessness, aimlessness, and impermanence
in our daily life.”

Each and every one of us will have to come to terms with …
the Nature of our being.
Most folks pretend to find solace in believing in a ‘belief system’…
Convinced that if they believe or pretend strong enough… it will come true
:-O
Where they get to pretend when they die,
they will go to a ‘heavenly place’ and imagine they will get a ‘heavenly body’
as promised in their man made up mythic scriptures.
Then,
They hope and pray this ‘heavenly body’
will be in better shape that when they died.
So,
They spend their life refining the myth of a ‘heavenly body’…
Younger, stronger, more beautiful and pleasing to their vain egos.
So it seems…
Most folks seek bliss through a lifetime of reinforced ignorance.
But,
That’s ok …
What ever happens when our bodies flat line will be, for the most part…
Ineffable.
Words can’t describe it, and the concepts are
beyond anything we’ve experienced in this ‘here & now’
to come close to a conceptualization our analytic ego body mind can grasp.
In deep spirit…
after a lifetime of spiritual philosophy and psychology…
It can simply be summed up that…
Everything is Always Already Alright.

As natural as the falling rain,
whatever it is that is our ‘Eternal Nature’…
Is much like a raindrop.
A raindrop will fall from the clouds with natural pull of gravity,
make its way to rivers, that makes it’s way to the ocean…
Just like our ‘True Nature’ of Pure Awareness or Consciousness
will naturally flow towards an ocean of consciousness…
Were ‘we’ flow insuperably into all that is…
There will be no ego over here that is at one with is all over there…
There will be
No more you and me, no more they and we…
Just Unity.

First of all… We are like a raindrop, and… a raindrop…
Is water…. H2O
H2O does not have any plans, ambitions, fears or neurotic anxieties…
It’s just water.
The elements may combine with other elements
to form other compounds.
When certain compounds combine with certain other compounds…
More complex compounds are formed.
Consider our bodies to just be highly evolved compounds.
When our body flat lines…
the elements that form the various compounds in our body
don’t disappear…
They simply transform into other forms or compounds.
This all sounds very spiritually poetic.
But,
Keep in mind that however poetically the ‘here after’ is described…
Most folks will never ever experience anything that can relate to
how all this ‘Timeless Wonder of it All’ feels like.

For those so inspired…
the spiritual ‘aspirant’ can learn the philosophies and psychologies
that help form the ‘Right Views’…
During the very deep end of the ‘Path’
once ‘Insight Meditation’ is experienced during the Higher states of consciousness…
A sort of ‘disembodiment’ occurs…
Where the false perspective of there being a ‘mini-me’
somewhere inside that calls all the shots… seems to be in control…
This mis-perception fades more and more until True ‘Self Realization
becomes the perspective that is unperturbable…
This is the perception of the ‘Enlightened’ Being.
Yet,
Regardless of if one is ‘Enlightened’ or just completely ignorant of such things…
Even if they have devoted their whole lives to
believing a completely made-up fantasy…

All of us are like drops of water.
We all will flow along, as natural as the falling rain…
Towards an indescribable sense of Awareness that
Glows like Love,
Feels like Bliss and Joy…
Except…
In this ‘Natural State’…
there is no ego to recognize these feelings or emotions.
Again,
Those so inspired can devote themselves to a Spiritual Path…
And with the ‘Right Effort’,
they will experience
the deep Jhana ‘Insight Meditation states of Higher consciousness.
Know that all of this Divine curiosities will not affect your afterlife…
But,
It will help answer those questions about…
What comes after this life… while still in this life.
These Wisdoms will not give you Super Man Powers…
But,
They allow you to live a fulfilled creative, fully normal and natural life…
Without the burden of ignorance…
You’ll be free to live a life Liberated from
the inherent ‘pain & suffering’
that the ignorance of one’s True Nature
challenges most of us with our whole life.
