A Luv Story that Started as Friends

We met at work and started out as friends.

Cheryl was going through some tough times

and Michelle was there to listen.

Michelle was her safe haven and protector.

There is no one more kind or loving than Cheryl.

Soon we became much more than friends.

Over time our love has grown,

and our lives have changed so much for the better!

We have changed jobs and supported each other through the transition.

We purchased a new home to accommodate our large family holidays

and our Westies, Patrick. Gracie and most recently Duncan.

We host lots of family events and they are always a big hit.

Being together with our loved ones surrounding us

has made are lives so much fuller.

Together we have dealt with life’s challenges.

Especially last year when Cheryl’s mom fell ill,

but together with our families we cared for her.

Michelle gave Cheryl the strength and love

she needed to get through this difficult time.

Today we are stronger because of it and

Cheryl is so thankful she was able to care for her mom at our home.

We are thankful to finally have the chance to escape to Hawaii

with Jody and Ray and to relax and share this special day.

We know that you are never certain what life will bring you,

but we are certain that we can handle things better together.

Our love has grown so much over the years

and we look forward to spending the rest of our lives together!!

In the beginning I never thought

I would have the chance to be a part of Cheryl’s life…

and every day she makes sure I know how much I am loved,

by making everything special …remembering all the little things.

She is the part of me I like the best!

She really has made my dreams come true.

❤

A Luv Story Blessing that Started as Friends

The Grace of starting off as friends…

Is Praised In Hawaiian culture, they say “Hoapili”

Blessing the longevity of being Best Friends.

And “Hoahele” … Companions for life.

Life is full of challenges that require us to sort it all out…

Michelle was there for Cheryl when she needed a good listener.

A good listener helps us hear our own inner self and

the Wisdoms that are inherent Within, but often just out of reach.

Sharing this gift helps connect to our own True Nature,

which allows us to share our True Nature with a very special person.

From the Ground of our Being, a Soulmate connection unveils itself

with the feeling that both hearts are coming home to the cradle of Love.

Rest always within the sanctuary of this safe haven,

this Bubble of Love within each other’s hearts.

Know that whatever material issues outside your WithIN-ness

Can not affect the Bliss of your True Nature.

Your lives together weave a colorful tapestry of your Life story

Although you’re each a complete and whole Being,

together, an infinitely larger potential is perpetuated

though the integration of True Love.

And if for some reason, life throws a curve ball

that threatens to harsh your mellow…

Then your gang of fur will chase away your blues

and spontaneously put a smile on your face…

Peace, Joy, Compassion, Equanimity and Unconditional Love

will be the ‘Way’ of your Paths… as the Natural state of your Being.

One can’t honestly look at a Westie

without spontaneously breaking out in a big smile.

Spreading smiles will save humanity from itself.

Michelle loves how Cheryl makes everything special.

Those are Divine expressions of the Enlightened Mind and Heart.

Seeing the perfection in the ‘Ever-present Moment’

is how one experiences Eternal Bliss…

Do this together and you will Always and Forevermore…

The Start of 2020

Our business was doing great, but we still couldn’t afford to buy a house or a condo. Renting in Maui for another 30 years was not an option we wanted to take. Then, Bobbie Jo suggested we buy a sailboat that is comfortable to cruise and live in. By the end of January, we started looking for our new home.

After a long search, we found our dream boat in Mazatlan, Mexico. COVID-19 was not yet a concern when our boat hunt began, but masks were starting to appear at airports by the time we flew to Mazatlan. Originally, we had planned to get the boat ready as fast as possible to cover a full calendar for the busy wedding season. However, it was apparent our business was going to tank amid the pandemic, and the struggle went on until the end of the year.

Luckily, we scored an awesome condo for only $19 a day at Mazatlan. On the 10th day of our stay, we received the news that all harbors will be closed the next Monday morning. We thought we’d be stuck in Mexico longer, but another sailor advised us to leave before sunrise.

We felt the adrenalin of escaping the Mexican harbor master just before the sun rose that faithful day. The seas were rough as waves were building up in the tight channel that led us to the open ocean. We ended up anchored off an adorable little isle just a mile offshore. We enjoyed cruising to many spectacular anchorages and cute villages on our way to Puerto Vallarta, where we would depart for Maui on May 7. On May 30, 2020, we completed our 24-day passage from Mexico to Maui.
