A Luv Story Born from Sleeping Together Since They Were Born

They Started Sleeping Together the Day They Were Born

in May of 1948

So the story of my in-laws.
Dane and Kathi Segrin pronounced (See-grin).
Kathi was born May 5, 1948, Dane May 8, 1948.

They were in the nursery together at the same hospital.

They were high school sweethearts, attended college together,

both graduating from Oregon State University.

Got married in August 1969.

They have three daughters.

Jami (husband Mike). Mike and Jami have two children. Ellie and Tyler.

Jennifer (husband Jake, me).

We have 3 children Dane, Rylee and  Abbi.

Jeanna, has two children, Roman and Max.

The seven grandchildren are Dane and Kathi’s pride and joy.

I’m sure we will think of more, but that is a great start.

A Luv Story Blessing – Born from Sleeping Together When They Were Born

It’s a blessing when a couple gets to experience marital bliss for many years.

It’s just a lucky few that get to

‘Live happily ever after’ with their High School sweetheart.

But

the Luv Story of Kathi & Dane breaks all records of such things!

They started sleeping together the day they were born in May of 1948

:-O

Fate put them together at the same nursery at birth!

They became High School Sweethearts and on to graduate college together.

Got married 50 years ago and now

stand here on the beach to get Maui’d…

And experience it all over again…

But this time

the experience is multiplied by the power of

all their children… and their children.

The spark of Love that began over 50 years ago

has grown exponentially

like a ripple on the pond of Life.

Expanding in ever increasing circles of embrace

Saving Humanity, One smile at a time

😉

Thru so much experience in Life together, a Wisdom is earned.

A contentedness builds with the years

as acceptance of whatever arises, becomes your natural flow.

Be aware of this contentedness as it continues to each and every

ever-present moment.

This how simple Eternal Bliss is.

Do this together, and you both will experience

Eternal Maui Marital Bliss

The Start of 2020

Our business was doing great, but we still couldn’t afford to buy a house or a condo. Renting in Maui for another 30 years was not an option we wanted to take. Then, Bobbie Jo suggested we buy a sailboat that is comfortable to cruise and live in. By the end of January, we started looking for our new home.

After a long search, we found our dream boat in Mazatlan, Mexico. COVID-19 was not yet a concern when our boat hunt began, but masks were starting to appear at airports by the time we flew to Mazatlan. Originally, we had planned to get the boat ready as fast as possible to cover a full calendar for the busy wedding season. However, it was apparent our business was going to tank amid the pandemic, and the struggle went on until the end of the year.

Luckily, we scored an awesome condo for only $19 a day at Mazatlan. On the 10th day of our stay, we received the news that all harbors will be closed the next Monday morning. We thought we’d be stuck in Mexico longer, but another sailor advised us to leave before sunrise.

We felt the adrenalin of escaping the Mexican harbor master just before the sun rose that faithful day. The seas were rough as waves were building up in the tight channel that led us to the open ocean. We ended up anchored off an adorable little isle just a mile offshore. We enjoyed cruising to many spectacular anchorages and cute villages on our way to Puerto Vallarta, where we would depart for Maui on May 7. On May 30, 2020, we completed our 24-day passage from Mexico to Maui.
