A Luv Story That Started by Holding Hands

We met online.

We met in person at a nail salon and we held hands

and he came back to hug me and led to a kiss…

and from there on out we felt a connection

and knew we were going to build a future

and have a happy life and grow old together.

We are both musically talented so we both like to sing,

and he plays the drums.

Our spiritual goals are to put God first in our life

and everything else will fall in place.

A Luv Story Blessing That Started by Holding Hands

Meeting online is a wise way to go, besides,

How many countless eons of time and beers

would one have to consume at a bar

before the ‘Right One’ came along?

Besides avoiding those time consuming 12 step programs or worse…

Having too many beers and settling for the ‘not-so-right-one’.

Getting to know each other first online establishes a relationship

built on core values, not just an inebriated surface only attraction

that will seem to require even more countless beers

to help maintain that shallow connection.

Love is deeper than just what’s on the surface.

The heart seeks this deeper love…

And the soul is ineffably deeper still…

Words can’t describe the experience of connecting all the elements of love…

Heart & Soul, Mind & Body.

Let your love of music be the soundtrack of your Love Story

Be the skin of your drums and sway to rhythm of love

Sing together in harmony and unison

and rest in the cradle of love.

Love is just a name attempting to describe an experience of Heart & Soul

It has no material substance, so therefore it cannot be affected

by any materialistic concerns outside your cradle of love.

This Bliss is the True Nature of our Being, God gave each of us this Divinity.

This Bliss too is not of material substance and likewise

cannot be affected by anything thing that is outside of our Heart & Soul.

Individually maintain this Divine Bliss,

allow each other to have the occasional challenging days.

Allow your Bliss to be the Beacon of light to the other

when challenges or confusion arise.

It’s good that you put God’s way first in your life.

To do otherwise is like going against the Natural Flow.

So,

go with the Flow and the perfection of God.

God is all that “Is”.

Be in love with all that “Is”, and you will never be disappointed.

See this perfection together in the ever-present moment

and you will both experience Eternal Maui Marital Bliss.

The Start of 2020

Our business was doing great, but we still couldn’t afford to buy a house or a condo. Renting in Maui for another 30 years was not an option we wanted to take. Then, Bobbie Jo suggested we buy a sailboat that is comfortable to cruise and live in. By the end of January, we started looking for our new home.

After a long search, we found our dream boat in Mazatlan, Mexico. COVID-19 was not yet a concern when our boat hunt began, but masks were starting to appear at airports by the time we flew to Mazatlan. Originally, we had planned to get the boat ready as fast as possible to cover a full calendar for the busy wedding season. However, it was apparent our business was going to tank amid the pandemic, and the struggle went on until the end of the year.

Luckily, we scored an awesome condo for only $19 a day at Mazatlan. On the 10th day of our stay, we received the news that all harbors will be closed the next Monday morning. We thought we’d be stuck in Mexico longer, but another sailor advised us to leave before sunrise.

We felt the adrenalin of escaping the Mexican harbor master just before the sun rose that faithful day. The seas were rough as waves were building up in the tight channel that led us to the open ocean. We ended up anchored off an adorable little isle just a mile offshore. We enjoyed cruising to many spectacular anchorages and cute villages on our way to Puerto Vallarta, where we would depart for Maui on May 7. On May 30, 2020, we completed our 24-day passage from Mexico to Maui.
