A Luv Story Born from a Mutual Friend

David and I met through a mutual friend.

I lived in Olympia, and he lived in Spokane.

We communicated through texting and phone calls

for about three months

before I decided to move to Spokane.

I was wanting to advance my education.

David was going through some rough times

and had to go through some surgeries to get the pain to go away.

He is finally almost pain free and is in school for retraining.

We both have three kids.

He has two girls Jessica 32, Breanna 28, and Tyler 25,

and I have three kids Cheyne 33, Carissa 31, and Crystal 25.

I have 10 grandchildren with one in the way and he has 4 grandchildren

with hopefully more on the way

since his daughter Bre is getting married in November.

I am a nurse and he is a general contractor

and is going to school for a bachelor’s in building management.

We are hoping to start a business after he is done with school

to build and make people’s dreams come true.

We started talking August 9, 2013.

I moved to Spokane January 1, 2014.

We love each other so much.

We want to go on some awesome adventures together.

And experience them together.

Thank you for this experience.

A Luv Story Blessing – Born from a Mutual Friend

It’s good to have a Cupid as a mutual friend in Spokane…

and a love was born.

So, after three months of deep inquiry… a one-way road trip was inspired.

It’s a good thing the ‘kids’ are grown up, otherwise

David would need to design a humongously huge house

if all 16 and counting lived together like in the ‘ol days :-O

Our Path through life takes us on journeys

with the destinations totally unforeseen from that first step.

We are constantly learning, as

the experiences of younger life, become the Wisdoms later in life.

Advancing your higher education ensures a more comfortable future.

That’s a wonderful common goal you both have about

putting in the Right effort for higher education… and good on ya both.

it’s hard to go back to school in our later years, but then

the Wisdoms we’ve gain in Life are great motivators towards new Wisdoms.

Having common dreams with solid plans is the elixir of life for both

professional and of the personal adventuresome nature to

experience Life’s adventures wherever they take you.

So I say go,

travel to far away and differently wonderful places.

Go talk to strangers and see this beautiful world.

Be the ambassadors of humanity that help unite us all,

Saving the planet too!   One smile at a time 😉

This is the chapter in your love book that is entitled

“Living Happily Ever After”.

Sure,

you’ve got a few more ‘hills’ to climb towards your dreams of

building dream homes for others…

But you have a True Love.

Love is not a material thing, it has no substance of its own,

it’s an experience from the heart.

It can’t be affected by material things, nor can any possible challenges

outside your bubble of love, ever effect the Ground of your Being

within the Cradle of your Love.

Within this love is the Natural State of our Being.

The essence of our True Being is Bliss.

Always feel this Blissful Love in the ever-present moments to come …

and you both will indeed experience Eternal Maui Marital Bliss…

Forevermore… and more

😉

The Start of 2020

Our business was doing great, but we still couldn’t afford to buy a house or a condo. Renting in Maui for another 30 years was not an option we wanted to take. Then, Bobbie Jo suggested we buy a sailboat that is comfortable to cruise and live in. By the end of January, we started looking for our new home.

After a long search, we found our dream boat in Mazatlan, Mexico. COVID-19 was not yet a concern when our boat hunt began, but masks were starting to appear at airports by the time we flew to Mazatlan. Originally, we had planned to get the boat ready as fast as possible to cover a full calendar for the busy wedding season. However, it was apparent our business was going to tank amid the pandemic, and the struggle went on until the end of the year.

Luckily, we scored an awesome condo for only $19 a day at Mazatlan. On the 10th day of our stay, we received the news that all harbors will be closed the next Monday morning. We thought we’d be stuck in Mexico longer, but another sailor advised us to leave before sunrise.

We felt the adrenalin of escaping the Mexican harbor master just before the sun rose that faithful day. The seas were rough as waves were building up in the tight channel that led us to the open ocean. We ended up anchored off an adorable little isle just a mile offshore. We enjoyed cruising to many spectacular anchorages and cute villages on our way to Puerto Vallarta, where we would depart for Maui on May 7. On May 30, 2020, we completed our 24-day passage from Mexico to Maui.
