It is possible to learn to sit in peace, breathe in peace, and walk in peace.
To be at peace is an art we cultivate with our daily mindfulness practice.

We need to train ourselves to keep coming back to our breath and our body.
Every time we reunite body and mind, we are reconciling with ourselves.

Our country is now “great”…
so we’re told by the conservatives and oligarchs.
These are “great” daze for half our fellow American’s that are
self-loathing sadistic human tragedy enthusiasts…
they take pleasure in other people’s suffering and are
rejoicing with the changing times that normalizing and legitimize
raping women in department stores,
having sex with porn starz when their wives are pregnant with their own child
and now…
they have embraced pedophilia…
most are the new brand of “Christians”
that still support and emulate everything tRump does…
Including having the military intimidate the blue states with live automatic machine guns…
however,
the rest of us that flow with Mindful Loving kindness,
Empathy, Compassion and Joy for humanity…
it is certainly challenging times.

This is when it is essential:
To train ourselves to keep coming back to our breath and our body.
Every time we reunite body and mind,
we are reconciling with ourselves.

The being that we are is a combination of
physical and non-physical elements…
The physical, which includes the mind, ego
and all the food created body parts…
Is profound in and of itself…
However,
All that returns to the earth when we flat line.
What remains is, for the most part… ineffable.
Words can’t describe our True Nature.
Only after a very deep Spiritual Practice along with
deep meditative ‘Insight’ experiences
can our True Nature be understood…
But even then…
It is through ‘wordless Wisdoms’.

The best way to translate our True Nature into words is…
It feels like Love, Joy and a Bliss beyond measure.

When we ‘find our center’… we can abide in this experience.
If we have even a casual meditation practice…
We are never more than a few deep breaths away from
reconciling with ourselves.

The Start of 2020

Our business was doing great, but we still couldn’t afford to buy a house or a condo. Renting in Maui for another 30 years was not an option we wanted to take. Then, Bobbie Jo suggested we buy a sailboat that is comfortable to cruise and live in. By the end of January, we started looking for our new home.

After a long search, we found our dream boat in Mazatlan, Mexico. COVID-19 was not yet a concern when our boat hunt began, but masks were starting to appear at airports by the time we flew to Mazatlan. Originally, we had planned to get the boat ready as fast as possible to cover a full calendar for the busy wedding season. However, it was apparent our business was going to tank amid the pandemic, and the struggle went on until the end of the year.

Luckily, we scored an awesome condo for only $19 a day at Mazatlan. On the 10th day of our stay, we received the news that all harbors will be closed the next Monday morning. We thought we’d be stuck in Mexico longer, but another sailor advised us to leave before sunrise.

We felt the adrenalin of escaping the Mexican harbor master just before the sun rose that faithful day. The seas were rough as waves were building up in the tight channel that led us to the open ocean. We ended up anchored off an adorable little isle just a mile offshore. We enjoyed cruising to many spectacular anchorages and cute villages on our way to Puerto Vallarta, where we would depart for Maui on May 7. On May 30, 2020, we completed our 24-day passage from Mexico to Maui.
