A Luv Story Blessed by Padres

Lauren and I met in 2007 in college

while we were working for the San Diego Padres.

We immediately hit it off and we were inseparable from the start.

Who wouldn’t like a pretty girl that loved Baseball too???

After the 1st year of dating I decided I wanted to move back to my hometown

in Sacramento. Lauren decided to follow me and that we started living together.

We got Married on 9/19/09 in San Diego CA

overlooking Petco Park where we first met.

We had our first Child Bradley on Christmas day of 2012.

After our son was born,

she wanted to move closer to her parents and back to her hometown.

We made the decision to relocate back to San Diego in 2014.

While it was a tough decision,

and we had some family conflict it brought us closer

because we had to stick together.

We welcomed our Daughter (Isabella) in June 2015

and we have been a complete family of 4 ever since.

As a couple we have hit goals such as owning a house,

both finishing our Master’s degrees and raising 2 wonderful children.

My love for her grows daily as I watch her with our children

and see how hard she works for our family.

Lauren and I are both very involved with our kids sports.

I manage the baseball team and she is the team mom,

and she managed the soccer team and I was her assistant coach.

While we are busy

we will cherish our 1 on 1 vacation together in Maui

to relax and bond even further.

A Luv Story Blessing – Blessed by Padres

Chris really ‘hit it out of the park’ with his ‘lucky catch’…

A pretty girl that likes baseball 😉

Yet,

when it comes to ‘soulmate Luv’,

The attraction seems to go beyond just mere ‘luck’.

They say there are no coincidences…

Well, certainly everything that has happed… Had to.

And another coincidence…

Bradley is my wife’s maiden name

😉

And yet another coincidence … born on Christmas!

Our children are humanity’s best chance at sustainability.

The spontaneous unconditional love, joy, compassion & equanimity

that parents intrinsically bestow upon their kids

will continue like a ripple on the pond of life,

Long after our ‘story’ ends,

your children will continue to help save humanity, one smile at a time.

Overcoming conflicts together pays off in countless ways,

Like the joys of experiencing a functional ‘Family Teamwork’.

Confusion is at the core of most conflicts,

Communication is the antidote for confusion.

Teaching your kids team sports will indeed go along way

of learning how to consider the perspectives of others.

The world is in good hands

with your children’s children as ambassadors of Love.

So, it may feel lucky to experience some

‘one on one’ uninterrupted Maui Marital Bliss…

But in this case… It was meant to Be!

You’ve earned these moments.

Experience those precious moments where you lose track of

where ‘you’ end… and your soulmate begins.

Take this ‘non-dual’ connection with each other

along in the ever-present moments, and you will both experience

the Eternal Bliss of Being at One with each other.

The Start of 2020

Our business was doing great, but we still couldn’t afford to buy a house or a condo. Renting in Maui for another 30 years was not an option we wanted to take. Then, Bobbie Jo suggested we buy a sailboat that is comfortable to cruise and live in. By the end of January, we started looking for our new home.

After a long search, we found our dream boat in Mazatlan, Mexico. COVID-19 was not yet a concern when our boat hunt began, but masks were starting to appear at airports by the time we flew to Mazatlan. Originally, we had planned to get the boat ready as fast as possible to cover a full calendar for the busy wedding season. However, it was apparent our business was going to tank amid the pandemic, and the struggle went on until the end of the year.

Luckily, we scored an awesome condo for only $19 a day at Mazatlan. On the 10th day of our stay, we received the news that all harbors will be closed the next Monday morning. We thought we’d be stuck in Mexico longer, but another sailor advised us to leave before sunrise.

We felt the adrenalin of escaping the Mexican harbor master just before the sun rose that faithful day. The seas were rough as waves were building up in the tight channel that led us to the open ocean. We ended up anchored off an adorable little isle just a mile offshore. We enjoyed cruising to many spectacular anchorages and cute villages on our way to Puerto Vallarta, where we would depart for Maui on May 7. On May 30, 2020, we completed our 24-day passage from Mexico to Maui.
