Vow Renewal – Celebrating 50 years of marriage!
When my mom was in high school, she had a friend that liked my dad.
Her friend would write my dad little love notes
and she’d send my mom to deliver them.
So, she would send my mom to deliver these notes to my dad.
My dad would flirt with my mom as she delivered her friend’s notes.
My mom wasn’t interested.
One day while my mom worked at a small movie theater when she was 17,
my dad went in to see her.
My mom was giving him his change after a purchase and
he grabbed her hand and said, “You’re going to be my wife.”
My Mom thought, “Yeah, right.” Haha
They eventually went to a little shop called Fosters Freeze for a soda,
had their first kiss and that did it.
My mom got married at 20, my dad 22.
They have us 3 girls and now have 5 grandkids, 3 boys and 2 girls.
Their marriage hasn’t been perfect.
They’ve had their ups and downs but with God
stuck through it all and are here celebrating 50 years of marriage.
My dad was there when mom my was diagnosed with breast cancer.
We all rallied around them.
And my mom in turn was there for my dad when he was diagnosed with
stage 4 thyroid cancer.
She stayed at the hospital day after day, surgery after surgery
and procedure after procedure,
going days without going home to shower.
They’ve sacrificed so much for us to give us what they’ve never had
and much, much more.
My dad coming here from Mexico at the age of 16,
and through lots of hard work has always provided for his family
as well as my mom.
We couldn’t be more blessed to call them our parents.

A Luv Story Blessing – Born at Fosters Freeze!
Diana’s unconditional help for a friend in love with Manuel,
ended up with a lifelong love of Soulmates
reuniting beyond the veil of lifetimes….
Very cosmic indeed and with the Grace of Divinity.

and was inspired to read the future of True Love thru her palms…

finally a first date at ye ‘ol Foster’s Freeze
thawed out the cold feet of disbelief…
a first kiss was inspired,
and the lifetimes of Soulmates was self-Realized instantly
in that moment of Bliss.
A few years later they were married…
Another few years, and three wonderful gals incarnate…
And now 5 grandkids take to the stage of life to spread the wave of
unconditional Love inspired by that first kiss at Foster’s Freeze

Life isn’t perfect and marriage is never perfect
like a fairy tale Disney movie…
Yet the Grace of God within us all calls to our sensibilities…
Those so Blessed, such as Diana and Manuel here…
Hear the subtle whisperings of God and respond to Grace.
Egos are humbled and Love prevails.
Our time here in this life is a Spiritual Path of learning…
If there were no challenges,
we’d be abiding in the Bliss of Nirvana and Heaven…
But we are here for the ups and downs of life.
Those so Blessed will realize the Divinity in both.
The Bigger the challenge, the bigger the Transcendence!
Live long enough and our very life will be challenged with health issues.
Again,
the Love of Soulmates supported each other
from the Ground of their Being…
To heal each other’s bodies with the Heart and Soul of the other.
Now they are here to get Maui’d again after 50 years of Marital Bliss.
You will indeed enjoy Eternal Marital Bliss for evermore.
Like a ripple on the Divine Pond of life,
Your example of Joy, Compassion, Equanimity and Love
Will go forth from your children’s children’s children…
