A Luv Story Born on a Tennis Court

Maui is for Lovers… and

Spiritual Marital Gratitude

My wife and I met 39years ago at O’Donnell’s park.

We loved playing tennis and talking on the park bench.

We connected instantly and became best friends.

We married in 1988 and in 1993

had our first child, 2nd in 1997 our 2cd child

and a third in 1999 our 3rd.

My wife and I have always worked together as a team

to fulfill our dreams and attain our goals.

We love spending time and boating with the family

at our camps in Maine,

just watching tv, going for a hike or having a cocktail or two

She’s an unbelievable mom and her soul is truly genuine,

strong in her convictions

I love everything about her.

A Luv Story Blessing – Born on a Tennis Court

In Tennis, they say…

Love” means absolutely nothing…

Yet with these Luv Birdz, a True Love was won for both.

A match was made in Heaven, and with Grace …

was delivered to them 39 years ago at O’Donnell’s park.

Although tennis is typically a ‘singles’ sport,

These Luv Birdz teamed up for Eternal Marital Bliss in 1988

And was Blessed with three kids.

We are here for Divine reasons…

To learn and grow… and spread unconditional Love

There is much essential Spirituality learned by being a parent,

The virtues of Love, Compassion and Equanimity

blossom into a Joy…

That only the Hand of Heaven can bestow.

Being Mindful of this Grace allows one

to abide in the contentment of the Ever-Present Moment.

This is the Blessings of Eternal Marital Bliss.

These virtues and morals will continue to be expressed

by your children,

And their children, and their children… forevermore.

Like a ripple on a pond, your unconditional examples of

Love, Joy, Compassion and Equanimity…

Will continue to spread like a wave that builds

Long after we reunite with the Divinity that created us.

It is our Divine Blessings to enjoy the Earthly wonders

that were created for us.

There is Heavenly Grace in every moment of this life…

Like, boating with the family at your camps in Maine,

just watching tv, going for a hike or having a cocktail…

We all can appreciate and enjoy the obviously joyous blessings…

However,

It’s hard for anyone to see the Grace in certain… life events…

Enlightened Sages teach that:

“Everything that has happened… Had to”.

Not for any mystical reasons…

But,

however one perceives ‘Grace’ or ‘Divinity’…

In time,

one will learn the Wordless Wisdoms

that the experiences has to teach…

It won’t change much in a materialistic way…

but

the change in perceptions will reveal the timeless wonder of it all…

That

Everything is Always Already Alright.

The Start of 2020

Our business was doing great, but we still couldn’t afford to buy a house or a condo. Renting in Maui for another 30 years was not an option we wanted to take. Then, Bobbie Jo suggested we buy a sailboat that is comfortable to cruise and live in. By the end of January, we started looking for our new home.

After a long search, we found our dream boat in Mazatlan, Mexico. COVID-19 was not yet a concern when our boat hunt began, but masks were starting to appear at airports by the time we flew to Mazatlan. Originally, we had planned to get the boat ready as fast as possible to cover a full calendar for the busy wedding season. However, it was apparent our business was going to tank amid the pandemic, and the struggle went on until the end of the year.

Luckily, we scored an awesome condo for only $19 a day at Mazatlan. On the 10th day of our stay, we received the news that all harbors will be closed the next Monday morning. We thought we’d be stuck in Mexico longer, but another sailor advised us to leave before sunrise.

We felt the adrenalin of escaping the Mexican harbor master just before the sun rose that faithful day. The seas were rough as waves were building up in the tight channel that led us to the open ocean. We ended up anchored off an adorable little isle just a mile offshore. We enjoyed cruising to many spectacular anchorages and cute villages on our way to Puerto Vallarta, where we would depart for Maui on May 7. On May 30, 2020, we completed our 24-day passage from Mexico to Maui.
