A Luv Story Born ‘On The Job’

We met though work 11 years ago. I was married at the time, and

never knew that Brandon always had a little crush on me.

Then one day I came into the office, and announced

I was getting a divorce. It was a year later

he got the courage to ask me to a co-workers holiday party.

That was our beginning, and we married 2 years later.

He has a Son, Jack, and we became a family.

We’ve come through some difficult times these last 2 years.

Jack had a tough time of it in High School, and

it tested us all as a family,

but

we came through it stronger, and closer.

Jack graduated with honors, and got a scholarship to

The University of Nevada Reno this coming year.

We’re very proud of him.

Brandon and I are taking the rest of this year off

to reconnect, recharge, and do some traveling.

We are so happy to renew our commitment to each other,

our family, and to living our lives in love and kindness.

So,

that’s our story.

Message:

My Husband and I would like to renew our vows in Maui.

We we married there on Wailea beach Nov 1′ 2011

by the Maui Marrying Man, Ron at that time.

On the job Luv Story – Blessing

Enlightened Sages Wisely state that:

ā€œEverything that has happenedā€¦ Had to.ā€

It seems we learn lifeā€™s lessons more deeply by our

mistakes and hard knocks.

Often

it turns out that by experiencing a life with someone that is unfulfillingā€¦

Allows us to really appreciate someone that is fulfilling.

When we first get married it feels so great,

But letā€™s face itā€¦ itā€™s like throwinā€™ the dice

We never know whatā€™s beyond the bend of our perceptionsā€¦

What kind of challenges will cause a need for us to

change course to a separate path.

But when a couple has been way down that road of life

then finally finds their true loveā€¦ then together

they journey down their own road of life

with its ups & downs and hard knocksā€¦.

And after all that, they can still be so in love

that they are fully inspired to renew their vowsā€¦

Thatā€™s Love – True Love

Soulmate Love

This truly marks the beginning of a new chapter in your

Book of Love calledā€¦

Living Happily Ever After

My son is the same age and a similar storyā€¦

After our sailing adventures we ā€˜landed hereā€™ so to speak

And Rob unleased his skateboard prowl-ness on the local kids here,

And soon hung out with the skateboard punksā€¦

an Inspiration of Mischief & Mayhem.

Although he got good grades somehow,

he never seemed to put any effort into it.

Just when I had given up looking for ways to inspired him,

he says to me

ā€œDad, the only way off this rock is with a good educationā€.

He went on with focused determination and also graduated with honors

and is now attending Northern Arizona State University on a scholarship

I understand the pride you feel for your sonā€™s achievements,

For itā€™s not just the moment in time that this ā€˜prideā€™ existsā€¦

It is a grand feeling for evermore.

Timeless.

Not only did your son accomplish a major milestoneā€¦

So did you both.

It is no less than like moving heaven and earth

to create that open space of Loving Kindness

The Unconditional Love of Family – Ohana.

It will be good for your soul to take the rest of the year off.

After transcending a lifetime challenges

Your whole family is off to exciting new roads

With your son embarking on a path of higher education and

his own life

You both will be embarking on a path of Higher consciousness

With the pursuit of rest and fulfilment of your Being.

It is around this point in oneā€™s Lifeā€™s Pathā€™

that we strive for an inner Peace

and begin to connect with our ā€˜centerā€™ā€¦

The Ground of our Beingā€¦

Each new subtle step along this ā€˜Pathā€™ brings a joy and contentment

that becomes less and less effected by materialistic interruptions.

Thus,

Abiding in in a Bliss that canā€™t be taken away or lessened.

And

as you travel, your example of Peace and Contentment

Along with the Four Immeasurable Virtues of

Love, Joy, Compassion and Equanimity

Will be like a ā€˜ripple on the pond of lifeā€™

that makes this world a better place for everyone.

The Start of 2020

Our business was doing great, but we still couldnā€™t afford to buy a house or a condo. Renting in Maui for another 30 years was not an option we wanted to take. Then, Bobbie Jo suggested we buy a sailboat that is comfortable to cruise and live in. By the end of January, we started looking for our new home.

After a long search, we found our dream boat in Mazatlan, Mexico. COVID-19 was not yet a concern when our boat hunt began, but masks were starting to appear at airports by the time we flew to Mazatlan. Originally, we had planned to get the boat ready as fast as possible to cover a full calendar for the busy wedding season. However, it was apparent our business was going to tank amid the pandemic, and the struggle went on until the end of the year.

Luckily, we scored an awesome condo for only $19 a day at Mazatlan. On the 10th day of our stay, we received the news that all harbors will be closed the next Monday morning. We thought weā€™d be stuck in Mexico longer, but another sailor advised us to leave before sunrise.

We felt the adrenalin of escaping the Mexican harbor master just before the sun rose that faithful day. The seas were rough as waves were building up in the tight channel that led us to the open ocean. We ended up anchored off an adorable little isle just a mile offshore. We enjoyed cruising to many spectacular anchorages and cute villages on our way to Puerto Vallarta, where we would depart for Maui on May 7. On May 30, 2020, we completed our 24-day passage from Mexico to Maui.
