A Luv Story of Best Friends For Life

❤️

Chris and I met while both living in Lubbock Texas for work.

While our stay and location in Lubbock was short term for both of us,

we were brought together by fate.

Chris asked me to dinner and we then knew we shared similar attributes.

We literally talked until the restaurant closed.

It seemed only a short time, but we had talked for hours.

We continued to go on dates and talk on the phone for hours at night.

I fell in love with Chris’ sweet dog Sirius a black schnauzer who is so sweet and cuddly.

He also would refer to my sweet dog Deidi as princess, which melted my heart.

It was no time at all that we knew we wanted to spend all of our time together.

I met his parents at Christmas after a few months of dating

and knew his family would one day to be mine.

As time went on, we discovered how similar we were.

We get along so well we could finish each other’s thoughts,

have the same random food cravings, and we realized

we wanted the same things as our lives go on.

We always want to spend time with one another.

Chris is the most patient, caring, and kind person.

He is a great listener and always comforts me where I feel I can always confide in him.

Joni is the most compassionate person I have ever met.

Her infectious smile makes everyone else all the happier.

She is the sweetest person I have ever met.

We dated for 6 months and Chris asked me to spend the rest of my life

with him as his wife in Eureka Springs Arkansas while on vacation.

I cried and laughed and even lost my contact as he proposed.

I was so very happy I was unable to control my emotions.

As we began to plan our wedding,

we knew we wanted it to be a beautiful ceremony for us to remember forever.

There could be no place better to be married than Maui.

We are so thankful to have found each other and look forward to

starting a family in the near future.

Not only will we be joining as husband and wife together

but more importantly

we are one another’s best friend for life.

A Luv Story Blessing – of Best Friends For Life

Our Life,

This world and our place in it

creates an ineffable Great Mystery.

Philosophers have been pondering this ‘suchness’

since we evolved a ‘self-aware’ thinking mind…

and the Divine Kosmic Universe still remains… a Great Mystery.

Humanity has long since evolved pass the notion of there being a ‘God’

that micromanages everything thought and action

of everything sentient being…

So,

the idea of there being a Divine “plan” doesn’t seem to answer

the intrigue of some profound ‘coincidences’ we experience…

Yet,

there does seem to be a natural flow of things

that seem to come together as if they were a part of the Sacred Synchronicities

that integrate the essence of all things… from the Ground of our Being.

The odds of meeting in a short-term work situation in Lubbock Texas

is incalculable.

In the deep end of my intense Spiritual practices,

It is taught to abide in the experience at hand as a ‘non-dual’ perspective.

When this done with the ‘Right’ focus…

Time becomes not a factor, and one loses their egoic sense of ‘self’…

We become ‘at one with the experience’ in a timeless flow…

There is no more ‘me & you’, ‘we or they’…

There is just

a timeless unity.

You have experienced this timeless unity together

when you lose track of time, while the awareness of

where you end, and your true lover begins…

melts into the Formless Bliss of Being at One with each other.

In deep spirit we strive to be ‘at one with it all’…

‘God’ or the ‘Great Mystery’ is the essence of all that “Is”…

And to be ‘at one with it all’ is as deep as it gets…

A very lofty goal,

this usually takes our entire life right up to our last breath…

If we are lucky & focused.

But you have experienced a taste

of this most Divine Grace

with the natural connection you have for each other.

In ancient Hawaii, they Blessed longevity of

Being best friends – “Hoapili

and companions for life – “Hoahele

You have experienced all of the deepest expressions of

Natural Spirit and True Love.

The deepest of Natural Spirality is

Always Already Alright

And within your own experience of True Love…

May you both Experience the perfection of all that “Is”,

and a contentedness in the ever-present moment…

and you will both abide in Eternal Maui Marital Bliss.

The Start of 2020

Our business was doing great, but we still couldn’t afford to buy a house or a condo. Renting in Maui for another 30 years was not an option we wanted to take. Then, Bobbie Jo suggested we buy a sailboat that is comfortable to cruise and live in. By the end of January, we started looking for our new home.

After a long search, we found our dream boat in Mazatlan, Mexico. COVID-19 was not yet a concern when our boat hunt began, but masks were starting to appear at airports by the time we flew to Mazatlan. Originally, we had planned to get the boat ready as fast as possible to cover a full calendar for the busy wedding season. However, it was apparent our business was going to tank amid the pandemic, and the struggle went on until the end of the year.

Luckily, we scored an awesome condo for only $19 a day at Mazatlan. On the 10th day of our stay, we received the news that all harbors will be closed the next Monday morning. We thought we’d be stuck in Mexico longer, but another sailor advised us to leave before sunrise.

We felt the adrenalin of escaping the Mexican harbor master just before the sun rose that faithful day. The seas were rough as waves were building up in the tight channel that led us to the open ocean. We ended up anchored off an adorable little isle just a mile offshore. We enjoyed cruising to many spectacular anchorages and cute villages on our way to Puerto Vallarta, where we would depart for Maui on May 7. On May 30, 2020, we completed our 24-day passage from Mexico to Maui.
