I have a public confession to make. I am an unbeliever. Let me explain

I am an unbeliever in a “God” who is an external, superior, and separate being who must be pleased, obeyed, or reconciled with.

I am an unbeliever in a “God” shrouded in maleness, establishing the foundation for the dominance of patriarchy.

I am an unbeliever in a religious “God” who offers love that is conditional, revocable, and dependent on belief, purity, or obedience.

I am an unbeliever in a “God” who condemns people to eternal conscious torment for not believing the correct theology.

I am an unbeliever in a “God” who baits his first two human beings into an act of disobedience, which results in a world of suffering.

I am an unbeliever in a “God” who directly impregnated a woman because she was not good enough to birth his son naturally.

I am an unbeliever in a “God” who requires devotion to one book of ancient writings as the sole source of truth.

I am an unbeliever in a “God” who orchestrates the scenario of a fallen world, requiring the blood sacrifice of his son to fix it.

I am an unbeliever in a “God” who demands faith in doctrines and beliefs that defy reason, intuition, humanity, and critical thinking.

I am an unbeliever in a “God” who divinely anoints men with special qualities and rights to have authority over women.

I am an unbeliever in a “God” whose cosmic salvation plan is Jesus on a white horse and Armageddon to end the world.

I am an unbeliever in a “God” who adds conditions and qualifications for love and acceptance.

So yes, I am an unbeliever in ‘that’ “God”. The good news is that we made that “God” up, and there are other ways of conceiving “God” that don’t require the above beliefs. In my view, even Jesus did not believe in ‘that’ “God”.

The religious version of God is only one culturally inherited model—an external, judging, separate authority—and it’s far from the only way humans have understood the sacred. Once that framework loosens, people discover that “God” can also name immanence, connection, mystery, depth, or the more‑than‑human world. Letting go of the religious God doesn’t erase meaning; it opens space for forms of spirituality and belonging that aren’t built on fear, hierarchy, or separation.

it’s very disturbing to live in the country in these modern times

that if you don’t believe in an outdated archaic imaginary Sky God

the same way the majority believes in some

childlike naive projection of God…

Of which they have no concept of what God is

nor do they have the volition to lift a finger to learn what God is!

Then…

Significantly more than half Christians are  Trump supporters

they think it’s perfectly normal to rape children, shoot mothers in the face

and execute emergency room nurses

even if there are American citizens.

Which completely  goes against what they brag about being…

Undereducated, unevolved, fascist white supremacist!!

Most reasonable people think that

sick sadistic human tragedy evil is bad

and how people that believe in this religion,

that is supposed to be about

Love thy neighbor, peace and harmony, pro-life…

How can they support that sadistic evil is absolutely absurdly wrong.

Any then an intelligent person with critical thinking will ask the question

if they’re wrong about raping children and shooting mothers in the face…

What else are they wrong about?!!?

If you look at just a few of the atrocities of the church has committed in the name of their ‘all loving’, pro-lie imaginary sky god…

having tortured to death, in the most hideously ungodly disgusting foul inhumane ways

over a hundred million innocent people !!a

All for the honor of their pro-life all loving God…

that’s biblical BS !

and anybody who can continue to this day to make excuses why

torturing to death and murdering over 100 million people

for an imaginary Sky God is a sensible thing to do…

The sensible person would observe that this is wrong!

and they would ask the question

What else are they wrong about?!!

The answer is…

EVERYTHING!

it’s certainly a dead end towards personally discovering Grace and divinity

and you’ll be forever blocked from ever knowing what God is!

They will continue misbeleaving God to be some Childish naive projection.

They just believe the myths, magic and miracles as the literal truth…

and take the word of some archaic misogynistic man that came up with this make believe story, while they lived in a cave,

thought slavery was perfectly normal,

Commanded that women had no rights,

thought the Earth was flat,

and the entire universe revolved around this Flat Earth…

It’s sad and disturbing that most Christians

will think you are an evil atheist if you don’t believe in their

childlike projection of their imaginary Sky God.

I was born raised baptized in catechism a Catholic….

Luckily at a fairly young age I was kicked out of catechism

for asking if there was an adult version to all these mythic children’s stories.

That was the best thing the church could have done for me

because I researched all the other theologies and realized that

they’re all still believing in an imaginary Sky God.

And

there are at least over 66,000 different denominations of Christianity

which on one hand they say the Bible was written by the unfailing hand of God

but then over 66,000 organizations decided that God failed miserably

and they would have to do the paperwork,

create a headquarters and redo the Bible to fix God’s mistakes.

You don’t need a middleman to pray!

you don’t need a middleman to find Divinity and Grace.

The great mystery of God can be experienced and

these wisdoms will be enlightening and

your perspective of your life all life and

what’s before and after this life will become simple, clear and

liberating from the unnecessary mental pain is suffering that is inherent in this life

and yet

this religion makes you damn sure that you are suffering

because they feel that suffering needlessly

gets you closer to their version of God!

again

another fallacy that needs to be transcended for the sake of humanity

The Start of 2020

Our business was doing great, but we still couldn’t afford to buy a house or a condo. Renting in Maui for another 30 years was not an option we wanted to take. Then, Bobbie Jo suggested we buy a sailboat that is comfortable to cruise and live in. By the end of January, we started looking for our new home.

After a long search, we found our dream boat in Mazatlan, Mexico. COVID-19 was not yet a concern when our boat hunt began, but masks were starting to appear at airports by the time we flew to Mazatlan. Originally, we had planned to get the boat ready as fast as possible to cover a full calendar for the busy wedding season. However, it was apparent our business was going to tank amid the pandemic, and the struggle went on until the end of the year.

Luckily, we scored an awesome condo for only $19 a day at Mazatlan. On the 10th day of our stay, we received the news that all harbors will be closed the next Monday morning. We thought we’d be stuck in Mexico longer, but another sailor advised us to leave before sunrise.

We felt the adrenalin of escaping the Mexican harbor master just before the sun rose that faithful day. The seas were rough as waves were building up in the tight channel that led us to the open ocean. We ended up anchored off an adorable little isle just a mile offshore. We enjoyed cruising to many spectacular anchorages and cute villages on our way to Puerto Vallarta, where we would depart for Maui on May 7. On May 30, 2020, we completed our 24-day passage from Mexico to Maui.
