Every Effect Has A Cause

Sunset over a calm lake with a wooden dock and an inspirational quote.

Indeed,

The chaos in the world didn’t happen in a vacuum…

Meaning…

Everything effect, has a cause.

Although Putin’s ego war is one of the countless biggest unnecessary atrocities

currently killing over a million people

The way he got his dreadful agenda were in some degree

influenced by how Russia was treated after they help us win WWII.

Harry Truman couldn’t tame his ego and stomach being in a position

to work with Stalin that had recently exterminated over 4 million people,

some executed many starved to death.

But still

Russia sacrificed millions of their solders to die for our cause

The cold wars began

Regarding Ukraine

Putin could have been a huge hero.

He would have gone down in history as a very great man
IF,

He would stated just before invaded:
I could easily kick your ass!

But,

Instead

Here’s a billion buck, go have a party.

Next month,

We’ll get together to share ideas how our next 100 billion bucks can be spent

building bridges and infrastructure to make our two nations inseparable and at peace.

But, noooooooooooo.

His ego is way to powerful for a mere idiot to tame.

——————————————-

In the Israel/Palestine conflict

Part of the agenda was to have a democracy country created

with the lofty goal of stabilizing the Arab nations

that were not a democracy

Human rights have not always been their shining glory.

So,

The us and the un have this challenge

They have vowed to back Israel against an overwhelming force

of the 22 surrounding Arab nations.

Perhaps it once could have been considered a noble act

But,

After over 100 years of relentless attacks on Isreal

They finally have had enough.

Sure,

After the unprovoked attack…

well… if you look back thru history, the Palestinians have been fucked with relentlessly… and so has the Jews… but heck, lets not anything stop the senseless wars and let their children every live in peace…Their egos are so much more important to them than their children are to both sides.

It was expected for a wee bit of a …response…

I for one did not expect it to continue with such

disrespect for innocent civilians

But,

When the combatants and the civilians are habituating inseparably

We have a real shit show

But,

THERE’S NO EXCUSE!

This could have been a good time to show the world how well their religion

has made them more compassionate

They could have taken the higher ground

But,

Shit man…

I don ‘t know how it feels to be persecuted on some level since

imaginary biblical times,

Nor,

The relentless attacks with a group that does not want to negotiate,

does not want peace

They only want you dead.

There’s no middle ground.

They should have been doing more to spread peace and build a bridge of trust.

Now…

I can’t imagine anyone in that region will ever be able to humble their egos

and live in peace.

Cest la vie such is life.

The Start of 2020

Our business was doing great, but we still couldn’t afford to buy a house or a condo. Renting in Maui for another 30 years was not an option we wanted to take. Then, Bobbie Jo suggested we buy a sailboat that is comfortable to cruise and live in. By the end of January, we started looking for our new home.

After a long search, we found our dream boat in Mazatlan, Mexico. COVID-19 was not yet a concern when our boat hunt began, but masks were starting to appear at airports by the time we flew to Mazatlan. Originally, we had planned to get the boat ready as fast as possible to cover a full calendar for the busy wedding season. However, it was apparent our business was going to tank amid the pandemic, and the struggle went on until the end of the year.

Luckily, we scored an awesome condo for only $19 a day at Mazatlan. On the 10th day of our stay, we received the news that all harbors will be closed the next Monday morning. We thought we’d be stuck in Mexico longer, but another sailor advised us to leave before sunrise.

We felt the adrenalin of escaping the Mexican harbor master just before the sun rose that faithful day. The seas were rough as waves were building up in the tight channel that led us to the open ocean. We ended up anchored off an adorable little isle just a mile offshore. We enjoyed cruising to many spectacular anchorages and cute villages on our way to Puerto Vallarta, where we would depart for Maui on May 7. On May 30, 2020, we completed our 24-day passage from Mexico to Maui.
