In Life…
There are basically two perspectives to consider…
The ‘Here & Now’ physical body aspect
And
The Eternal – Never been born, nor will ever die.
This aspect goes far and beyond the ability
to put this ineffable concept into mere words.
Very few hear the calling to pursue this ‘highest Path’…
And even fewer still actually attain it.
And even when Enlightenment is attained,
the conventional mind’s logic still will not know everything…
So…
For the rest of us…
There is enough mystic wonders to abide within
the only concept of ‘ourselves’ most of us will ever know.
But,
Not to worry.
The transition from these two perspectives:
The ‘Here & Now’ and the ‘Eternal’…
Is as natural as the falling rain.
Consider that ‘we’ are metaphorically like
Rain drops…
that rise & fall with currents of the skies …
Like we rise & fall with the emotions and challenges of life.
Note that,
Unlike our personal ‘selves’…
Rain drops never concern themselves with
whatever comes after their limited ‘rain drop’ life.
All raindrops will eventually flow inseparably into the Ocean,
Just like
“we” will all flow inseparably into the ‘Ocean of Consciousness’.
And,
We will do this as naturally as the falling rain.
But,
While ‘we’ are alive…
All the elements that make up ‘our’ physical body…
Will continue, like Thich Nhat Hanh states.
Just as we are a part of the continuation of our parents…
Our children are a continuation of us.
And,
Regardless of if one has children or not…
Their legacy of life will continue to be an influence to others
for evermore,
based on their deeds and the passion they put into those deeds.
A life spent using critical thinking, intelligence, compassion, morals, virtues….
Will go a long way to ‘continuing’ the good nature of yourself…
Just as the opposite will continue… but in a negative way.
The reason for all the chaos we are faced with these days…
Is the result of so many people abandoning all that is good
and important to human survival, sustainability and
the chance of improving the human condition.
All shreds of critical thinking are abandoned and replaced with
a blind faith in their religion and or politics
which neither one has the best interest of improving the human condition.
Those that are crippled with compassion
by seeing the senselessness of most religions and conservative politics
would benefit to begin to take into consideration
the ‘Timeless’ aspect of our ‘Eternal’ True nature.
The ‘Enlightened’ sage, coming from an ‘Eternal’ perspective states:
Everything is Always Already Alright.
And
when commenting on what seems to be the
‘senseless’ chaos of our collective societies…
The Enlightened sage Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj will state:
“Everything that has happened… Had to”.
Which is based on the cause-and-effect nature of all things.
I am currently somewhere between the
‘crippled with compassion’ state
and the boundless Bliss of Enlightenment.
My mentor reminds me that:
“What seems to be senseless…
becomes part of the cause that will ultimately create…
the change.”
I note that regarding “the change”:
We have the Infinite Potential to create a wonderful future …
But humanity cannot sustain itself
by continuing to pursue the negative aspect of Infinite Potential.
~ ~ ~
We are collectively heading for oblivion.
And most folks, through willful ignorance,
act like whether we do or not is insignificant.
Our collective ignorance and our
passionately dangerous embrace of stupid
forces some of us to contemplate the ‘bigger picture’…
The Spiritual philosophic nature of …
“The Timeless Wonder of it all”…
To look beyond the senselessness of the chaos
we collectively choose in our
religions, politics and how we create our societies.
Other Enlightened sages state that:
Human evolution cannot be put in a foreseeable timeline.
All of this Spiritual philosophy is engaged with the pursue of happiness.
Which is the goal of Siddhartha, the Buddha…
To liberate one’s ‘self’ from the inherent pain & suffering of this life.
Until then,
Just know for now,
What most of us refer to as ‘our selves’…
The body.
Has all the elements of the universe.
“We” have been evolving since the big bang.
“We” are star dust, moon dust, cosmic dust and
integrate every life form every evolved on this planet.
So,
When our body dies…
“We” return to that endless cycle of rebirth…
As the elements of nature and the universe ‘we’ are made of.
Yet,
It is part of our survival instincts that are embedded into our DNA
that ‘we’ must cling to the attachment of…
survival.
Becoming ‘compost’
is not really what most of us have in mind of ‘continuation’.
One can rest assured that indeed without the burden of the body
Our “Spirit” is free to fly.
Which are what Saints, Sages and people that have had
a near death experience tells us…
Yet,
Something pulled them back.
And thus,
It can’t really be known what happens to our ‘timeless Self’ …
as time goes on.
There will always remain a mysterious aspect of life…
and
whatever comes next, rest assured that Everything will be
Always Already Alright!
As natural as the falling rain.
Regardless of if we ignorantly allow humanity to go extinct.

Currently featuring “The Art of Living”
By Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh
My aim is to present
a deeper, higher, wider, non-theological perspective
into common sense Spirituality
that most of us folks raised in the ‘west’ never get introduced to,
to fulfill life’s most intriguing questions…
I find it’s best to combine all
Non-theological common sense spiritual perspectives
that point towards helpful solutions to life’s challenges, while
answering the most profound philosophical questions…
What is the True Nature of my Being.
What is my place in this life and the ‘Timeless wonder of it all’.
And
How to creatively fulfill my full creative potential…
And thus…
Make sense of this life that often seems…
Senseless.
