Love Stories of Maui Marital Bliss

Britney & Alton Luv Story

Alton and I met online a little over 8 years ago,

while I was living in San Antonio, TX and he was living in Houston, TX.

We exchanged phone numbers and began speaking on the phone every day.

About 3 months later, we eventually met in person for the first time.

Alton still recalls feeling excited to see that I was everything he had imagined,

and I still remember the butterflies I felt when I first looked into his eyes.

Our first date was a long drive to Galveston, TX

where we spent the day on the beach followed by dinner.

That day, April 12, 2015, we knew we were meant to be together

and we still celebrate it as the first official day of our relationship.

We continued our long-distance relationship for another year and a half.

With many trips back and forth even to just spend one or two days together.

We finally decided it was time to be closer together

and it was the perfect time for me to relocate,

so I moved to Houston to be with Alton and closer to my family…

Over the years we learned how similar and different we both are,

we’ve learned from each other, grown together,

we’ve shared some of the best times and worst times of our lives together.

We’ve always been there to celebrate each other’s accomplishments

and been each other’s shoulder to cry on as well.

Although things have not always been perfect between us,

we were able to overcome our differences,

compromise and become a stronger unit.

We realized years ago that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together

and we’re so happy that you are helping to make this happen for us….

Thank you   Britney and Alton

Meeting Online is Divine 😉

True love is rarely+ found in a bar.

The amount of drinking one would have to do

to finally weed out dead ends encountered at a bar

would require a 12-step program to detox 😲

With a three month wait before you met,

You had a lot of time to fall in love with each other’s True Nature.

True love starts deep inside…

Then bubbles up to the surface.

A relation built on surface affections alone does not typically last long.

Life has its ups & downs, the good times and the challenging.

Most often,

transcending those challenges helps create a love

that becomes realized as a love stronger and deeper than ever before imagined.

Your first date was on a beach,

And so poetically romantic

to spend the first moments of Marital Bliss on a Beach.

And thus,

begin the chapter in your Luv Story that is entitled…

Living Happily Ever After

The Start of 2020

Our business was doing great, but we still couldn’t afford to buy a house or a condo. Renting in Maui for another 30 years was not an option we wanted to take. Then, Bobbie Jo suggested we buy a sailboat that is comfortable to cruise and live in. By the end of January, we started looking for our new home.

After a long search, we found our dream boat in Mazatlan, Mexico. COVID-19 was not yet a concern when our boat hunt began, but masks were starting to appear at airports by the time we flew to Mazatlan. Originally, we had planned to get the boat ready as fast as possible to cover a full calendar for the busy wedding season. However, it was apparent our business was going to tank amid the pandemic, and the struggle went on until the end of the year.

Luckily, we scored an awesome condo for only $19 a day at Mazatlan. On the 10th day of our stay, we received the news that all harbors will be closed the next Monday morning. We thought we’d be stuck in Mexico longer, but another sailor advised us to leave before sunrise.

We felt the adrenalin of escaping the Mexican harbor master just before the sun rose that faithful day. The seas were rough as waves were building up in the tight channel that led us to the open ocean. We ended up anchored off an adorable little isle just a mile offshore. We enjoyed cruising to many spectacular anchorages and cute villages on our way to Puerto Vallarta, where we would depart for Maui on May 7. On May 30, 2020, we completed our 24-day passage from Mexico to Maui.
