Gaining A Deeper Understanding Of Reality

“Zenfully Quool Quotes”
By Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh

The insight of interbeing helps us connect with
the ultimate truth of emptiness.
The teaching on emptiness is not about the “dying” of the self.
The self does not need to die. The self is just an idea, an illusion,
a wrong view, a notion; it is not reality.

How can something that is not there die?
We do not need to kill the self,
but we can remove the illusion of a separate self
by gaining a deeper understanding of reality.

rog Note:
The Reality we choose to live,
is kind of like the movie “The Matrix”…
Most people seem quite content with the pain & suffering they endure in this world,
as if enduring such unnecessary mental anguish
is preferable to actually stepping away from ‘the story’ of their egoic ‘self’
and discovering a more Spiritual View…
that of a perspective of ‘Self-Realization’.

In psychology,

there are case studies of how people actually identify with their life’s drama…
The thought of transcending the attachment to that mistaken identity,
Is horrifying to ‘them’…
More like,
The ego, which they also identify with,
will do everything possible to maintain control
and keep the mentally vulnerable person from
liberating themselves from this ‘wrong view’.

This part of one’s Spiritual Path…
Dives into the steps necessary to begin a Journey

that shines a light on this mistaken identity.
Each step along this ‘enlightening’ path

awakens one to liberating realization that…
“we” are not our ego-mind-body.

If you want to help the world…
You have to start with your ‘self’.
